Search a model number or paste a retailer product link. Currensci tries to resolve the exact UK model before doing anything else. If identity is ambiguous, it asks rather than silently choosing a near match.
Personalised comparisons, current retailer prices, recommendations and rankings are not publicly released yet. Currensci does not publish a buying conclusion before the evidence and release gates are ready.

What actually matters when you compare a washing machine
Headline specifications are useful, but they are rarely the whole buying decision. These are the first things Currensci separates before it tries to compare one exact machine with another.
Capacity is programme-specific
A machine's rated drum capacity does not mean every programme accepts the same load. Cotton, synthetic, eco and rapid programmes can have different limits. For a useful comparison, the programme and its permitted load belong together.
A quick wash needs two numbers
15 minutes sounds faster than 30 minutes, but time alone does not tell you how much laundry the programme can take. Currensci treats load and duration as one service claim.
A very short cycle for a small load is not silently treated as equivalent to a longer rapid cycle that can wash substantially more.
Energy and water need context
Energy labels and regulated programme data are valuable because they give comparable reference points. But a buying decision still needs to distinguish the labelled test programme from the programmes a household expects to use, and to keep energy, water, duration and capacity as separate facts rather than collapsing them into one vague eco score.
Spin and remaining moisture affect what happens next
Spin speed is easy to advertise. The more useful question is what condition the load is left in after the programme, because wetter laundry can change drying time and energy use downstream. Where Currensci cannot establish the relevant evidence cleanly, the field stays unknown.
Physical fit is a hard requirement
Width, height and especially depth can decide whether a machine works in a real kitchen before any feature comparison matters. Product identity and dimensions must be tied to the exact model, not borrowed from a similar-looking member of the range.
Why exact model identity comes first
Washing-machine model families can contain closely related variants with different capacities, colours, features, identifiers or market-specific specifications. Currensci does not treat a family name as proof of an exact model. Model code, identifiers and source evidence have to agree before a machine is allowed to behave like an exact match.
Identify Verify Compare
If exact identity is unresolved, comparison stops. A confident-looking wrong match is worse than an honest unknown.
Unknown is a result
Product pages often make missing information disappear. Currensci does the opposite. If a programme's load limit, warranty condition, identifier or other material fact cannot be established strongly enough, it remains unknown or conflicting. Missing evidence is never converted into a zero, a pass or a guessed feature.

Currensci is not trying to produce a universal number-one washing machine. The better machine depends on what the buyer needs to preserve. A cheaper machine is only a better substitute after it has passed the relevant technical requirements.
